Abstract

In this research, we obtained the energy eigenvalues and the corresponding normalized eigenfunctions for a linear combination of the modified Kratzer and generalized inverse quadratic Yukawa potentials using two analytical approaches: the exact quantization rule and the formula method. Furthermore, we evaluated the thermodynamic properties, including the rovibrational mean energy, ro-vibrational free energy, ro-vibrational entropy, and ro-vibrational specific heat capacity. Numerical results were computed for selected diatomic molecules, namely N₂, CO, NO, and CH, and were found to be in good agreement with existing results reported in the literature. In addition, graphical analyses were carried out to investigate the behavior of the energy spectrum associated with the proposed potential.
